The sound of his own voice was deafening as everything froze around him. Toothless reared up with a loud screech as he watched his companion's friend tumble across the raging battle field. Without a moment's hesitation, Hiccup pulled on the reins of the dragon and they immediately shot towards the fallen princess. The pair dove between Scots clashing against Vikings in a desperate attempt to reach her. Arrows scraped his cheeks and clicked against Toothless' scaly body, but the young man barely noticed, his emerald eyes glued on the redhead girl.

A Christmas Carol C.3~Chapter Three~

1 stared at the spirit of his deceased partner as he strode about his room, his optics flickering about. His ever-present smile was still on his lips and 1 sunk deeper back into his chair, staring in horror and awe. 2 had a glow about him, a whitish gold aura- there were no signs of pain or hurt on him now, not as he had when he was still living.

"Wh... who are you?!" 1 demanded, pushing the chains off of his lap and sitting up firmly, his face set. 2 blinked and tore his gaze from the elegant design of the curtains to look at his friend- he frowned slightly.

"Ask me who I was, 1."

9 looked at the old watch in his pocket and then up at his employer. He restlessly tapped his quill against the desk before he stood up and walked over to the coat rack to fetch his scarf and hat, trying to be quiet.

"It's but fifteen past the hour, 9. Your workday ends at six," 1 sneered from his office, his eyes still on his papers. 9 winced and turned to look at him with an uncertain look.

"I know, sir… but I need to stop at the general's store before I go home, and it closes at 6 sharp this evening- and my boy is waiting at-"

"Very well," 1 growled, setting his papers down and sliding his money away for safe keep

CatcherHolden's foot tapped up and down as he waited in the therapy room; the teenager was sprawled on his back over the couch, his hands on his stomach, folded quite delicately, one leg crossed over the other. His foot bobbed. He closed his eyes, blocking out the light, and heaved a sigh- he didn't want to be here. He really didn't. He wanted to go home, believe it or not. He wanted to see Phoebe again, maybe call Jane- if he felt like it, anyways.

Over the blast of his iPod, he heard the door creak open. "Sorry about that Holden, we had a few troubles with my last patient."
